Ella is coming home!

We received notification this morning that Ella's file has cleared the US Embassy. I don't have travel dates yet. However, my guess is our Embassy appointment will be 9/14.

Letter to the Embassy

Gail, the director of our agency in Ethiopia, provided the US Embassy with a letter regarding Ella yesterday. Please pray this letter will be acceptable to the Embassy and that they will clear Ella for travel.

Our agency has responded to the US Embassy. Therefore, we are waiting for the embassy to respond back. Our friend, Wendy, went to Ethiopia recently. She sent the pictures above.

Update from the US Embassy

We received correspondence from the US Embassy last night. They requested additional information about Ella's background and the documents provided with her file. We are hoping this will be resolved quickly so I can travel to pick her up. However, we support the US Embassy's efforts to make sure all adoptions from Ethiopia are ethical.

Please pray that the agency is able to gather the information in a reasonable amount of time so it can get to the embassy as quick as possible. We want Ella in her forever home.
