Update on Referrals

We found out recently that two baby girl referrals have gone out since our last post. That means we are finally finished with February 2009 DTE's for girls. We are onto March! Keep in mind, our DTE date is not until July 2009.

There are still 35 children stuck in paperwork "limbo land". We are praying the paperwork will move smoothly and ethically through the process so those children can find their "forever families".

I think of this whole process and how it has had so many different states. First, we were excited to be committed to the adoption process and get all our paperwork done. Second, we understood the wait and accepted it. Then we moved into a phase where it was frustrating to wait knowing there were kids in care who needed forever families, but paperwork was not allowing them to go home.

Currently, we are in a phase that we understand and appreciate God's timing is perfect and we accept it. With my mother's recent diagnosis of cancer, I am able to be focused on that journey right now.
