Dossier to Ethiopia

Our dossier was sent to Ethiopia on 7/10/09. So this is the offical start of our wait for a referral. We hope to have a referral of a baby girl in 9-10 months. We play to touch base with the agency around Christmas to see how things are going, but at this point we just need to wait and pray.

Our family sponsors a 1o year old boy in Ethiopia through World Vision. We just received an update today and it shared the following statistics:

• In 2008, there was a severe drought that affected 6.4 million people including 75,000 severely malnourished children.
• Unemployment hovers around 50% for those ages 15-30
• Inflation is being driven by rapidly rising food prices

Please pray for the following:

• A stable economy
• God to provide for the basic needs of poor families and their children
• Rain to provide electricity
• The individuals at MOWA who provide documentation for adoptions. They have a difficult job with limited resources.
• The birthfamily of our future daughter & our future daughter. We hope they have food, shelter and are at peace with their decision not to parent this child.
